Custom Printed Rollstock Films can be used as the top non-forming film on various MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) machines (i.e. Tiromat, Multivac, Reiser, Rollstock.) or VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal) or Flow Wrapper machines.

These films can be either printed or clear, and varying in thickness and overall film structures depending on the customer’s specific application. They give the package a specific top characteristic such as barrier, strength, and clarity. They can be peelable, pasteurize-able, or even breathable with low transmission values. They can be high barrier, utilizing PVDC, EVOH, or Metalized layers to prevent transmission of UV, gas, and moisture that may shorten the package shelf life. Thermoforming Films

Thermoforming films are used as the bottom web on various MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) machines (i.e. Tiromat, Multivac, Reiser, Rollstock.). These bottom films are heated and then vacuumed formed into various depths and pocket sizes. Structures vary to be used in Cook-In Applications to Barrier packaging of fresh products such as pasta, meats and cheeses. Common structures utilize Nylon for strength, EVOH for barrier and long shelf life, and Metallocene, LLDPE, or Suryln bases for sealing.

With our 2 – 11 Layer Cast Extrusion machines, we manufacture the highest quality forming films with 11 layers. This many layers allows the film to be made as flat and even as possible, and therefore form the pocket as even as possible, which in turn gives your package the highest strength.

Printed Forming Films

Printing Thermoforming films is an easy way to make your package more attractive. Putting this nutritional and ingredient info on the back of the package allows for more selling room on the front, as well as a more attractive package.

Clear Forming Films

Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) Films

ASE Packaging Corp. manufactures and stocks many different mono and multilayer vertical packaging films for Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) packaging machines. We can custom make a film structure specifically for your application and process. For many VFFS applications, we use high slip sealants that contain special properties that provide a “flow characteristic”. Flow Wrap & Overwrap Films

ASE Packaging Corp. manufactures and stocks many different mono and multilayer films for Flow Wrappers and Overwrap packaging machines. With over 30 years of experience, ASE can advise on the correct film for your specific application. Whether it be a mono layer BOPP film to act as just a “dust cover” to overwrap a cookie or a multilayer laminated Polyester/PE with barrier properties, when your product requires shelf life and nitrogen flush, ASE has it!

Surface Printed Overwrap Films

When packaging a dry product, like a cookie, on a horizontal overwrap machine, only a “dust cover” is needed. This is where mono film like BOPP Film and OPP Film are used. You can use clear or surface printed BOPP Film with heat resistant inks so the seal jaws can still seal properly if the ink gets in the way. High Barrier Printed Overwrap Films

When packaging a product that requires a high oxygen and moisture barrier, ASE can specify and create the correct lamination for your application. Tray & Cup Lidding Films

ASE Packaging Corp. manufactures and stocks many different mono and multilayer films for Tray and Cup Lidding films.
